Serhat Akpinar (born in 1964), is a Turkish Cypriot entrepreneur, educator and a philanthropist.
He is the founding rector and the Chancellor of the Girne American University as well as the American University of Cyprus. He was named an Honorary Doctor by the Tashkent State University of Economics, Minsk Institute of Management, Osh University,[1] Miras University[2] and the Kazakhstan Sports and Tourism Academy.[3]
